Velvet season is well underway for 2013/14 with favourable weather conditions allowing our stags to grow some fantastic heads.
It has been very exciting to see some of the stag heads developing. Velvet characteristics are extremely heritable in the genetics of the animal. Our farmers always enjoy seeing the quality of their velvet improving every year as they introduce new genetic lines.
We will be collecting velvet from November through February with different aged stags maturing at different times. Weather and diet are other key factors that determine the rate of velvet growth.
We will begin processing our velvet in January 2014 with new seasons ingredient and capsules available from March 2014.
